Our client, Mother Parkers, a leader in the food and beverage industry, is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join their Quality team at the Mississauga Plant.
About the Role:
Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance, the Quality Assurance Manager will lead the plant’s quality management system, ensuring food safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in a high-risk aseptic manufacturing environment. This is a strategic leadership role focused on driving a culture of quality and food safety across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of 4 QA professionals including supervisors, coordinators, and shift technicians.
- Oversee all quality and food safety programs including HACCP, GMPs, Traceability, Pest Control, and Sanitation.
- Ensure compliance with SQF standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage batch release, non-conformances, CAPAs, deviations, and change controls.
- Coordinate product trials, audits, and customer quality assurance visits.
- Act as Site Recall Coordinator and lead investigations into product holds and complaints.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in quality systems and food safety.
Qualifications:
- 5–7 years of experience in aseptic food or beverage manufacturing.
- BSc in Sciences or Industrial Engineering.
- HACCP certification and experience maintaining HACCP-based systems.
- Proven leadership experience in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of GFSI certification programs and SPC tools.
- Excellent decision-making, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with lab analytical equipment and microbiological testing is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude related to coffee processing equipment is preferred.
