Position Summary We are seeking a seasoned Senior IT Project Manager with 7+ years of experience to lead complex technology projects from initiation through successful delivery. You will oversee cross-functional teams, manage budgets and timelines, mitigate risks, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and close IT projects (software development, system implementations, cloud migrations, infrastructure upgrades) using Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets (typically $500K–$5M+), and risk management strategies.
- Lead and motivate cross-functional teams (developers, engineers, analysts, vendors) while tracking progress and resolving issues.
- Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to executives, clients, and stakeholders through reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Ensure quality assurance, compliance with standards (e.g., PMI, ITIL), and successful user acceptance testing/handover.
- Continuously improve project management processes and mentor junior PMs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 7+ years of hands-on project management experience in information technology environments.
- Proven track record delivering multiple concurrent IT projects on time and within budget.
- Strong proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Monday.com) and collaboration platforms (Microsoft Teams, Slack).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Experience managing budgets, vendor contracts, and procurement processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, ScrumMaster (CSM/PSM), or equivalent certification.
- Experience in Agile transformations, DevOps practices, or SAFe frameworks.
- Background in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), cybersecurity projects, or enterprise software implementations (ERP, CRM).
- Familiarity with risk management, change control, and IT governance standards.
