The successful individual will be working on a rotational schedule on site/hybrid assisting with various capital projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Capital Projects Manager with the execution of the capital projects portfolio
- Collaborate and manage engineering firms to complete detailed engineering for projects;
- Participate design reviews including drawings, P&ID's, project instructions and specifications
- Provide technical support to site electrical infrastructure and support the the construction team during execution
- Lead site-based capital projects throughout the project development process
- In collaboration, develop business cases, conceptual ideas, project scopes, technical feasibility reviews.
- Develop project estimates, prepare and submit Application for Expenditures requests
- Collaborate with other groups/teams to execute scopes of work, tenders, technical bid evaluations and assist with general contracts management.
Requirements:
- P. Eng designation with post-secondary education in electrical engineering
- 10+ years of experience working with mine electrical projects including infrastructure, power transmission, substations, medium to high voltage equipment, large battery storage etc.
- PMP is an asset
- Experience working at a remote work site
- Excellent proficiency with MS Office Suite
