About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Health & Safety Manager to oversee all aspects of health and safety across our tire and automotive service locations in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. This is a full-time position based in Moncton with regular travel throughout the region.
Reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources, the Health & Safety Manager will play a key leadership role in fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. You will be responsible for implementing effective safety programs, managing WCB claims, developing safe work procedures, and maintaining compliance through industry-standard safety platforms.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety programs across all store locations.
· Manage WCB (Workers’ Compensation Board) claims and coordinate return-to-work programs.
· Conduct data analysis to identify trends and recommend corrective actions to prevent incidents.
· Create, review, and update Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) and other safety documentation.
· Administer and ensure compliance on ISNetworld safety platform.
· Conduct safety audits, inspections, and investigations as required.
· Provide training, coaching, and support to managers and employees on health and safety best practices.
· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and industry standards.
Qualifications & Experience
· 2–3 years of experience in Health and Safety management or coordination (required).
· Experience in the automotive or tire industry is a definite asset.
· Post-secondary education or certification in Occupational Health & Safety (CRSP, CHSC, or equivalent) preferred.
· Strong understanding of provincial OHS regulations (NB, NS, PEI).
· Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
· Proficient in safety management platforms such as ISNetworld and ComplyWorks.
· Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
Compensation & Benefits
· Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year (based on experience).
