We are looking for a Data Analyst for a 10 months contract with high possibility of extension. Role is hybrid with 2 days a week on site in Downtown Toronto.
Core Responsibilities
- Identifying Critical Data Elements (CDEs): Determine, document, and maintain key data elements essential to business processes, regulatory reporting, and analytics.
- Data Dictionary Management: Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise-wide data dictionaries to support consistent data definitions and usage across the organization.
- Business Data Quality Rules: Define, validate, and implement business data quality rules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of key data assets.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to analyze, query, and validate large datasets.
- Proficiency in Power BI , including building dashboards, reports, and data models.
- Data Governance experience , specifically in:
- Identifying and documenting CDEs
- Maintaining data dictionaries
- Establishing and implementing data quality rules
- Exceptional communication skills —both verbal and written—with the ability to present findings clearly and professionally.
- Strong facilitation and presentation abilities , capable of leading discussions with business and technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree minimum, preferably in a technical field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Professional, polished, and detail-oriented demeanor.
