POSITION SUMMARY
The Shipper Receiver & Operations Technical Support team member is an organized and detail-oriented individual ensuring the efficient and accurate movement of goods in and out of our warehouse. Responsibilities will include preparing shipments, receiving incoming materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to the overall smooth operation of our distribution process in a safe and efficient manner.
Core Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work safely at all times; follow all EnerStar safety practices, company policies, and client worksite regulations.
- Champion EnerStar Core Values.
- Shipping and Packaging Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling products according to established guidelines.
- Utilize shipping software and equipment to generate sipping labels and ensure proper documentation for outgoing shipments.
- Arrange transportation and coordinate deliver schedules with carriers.
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area, optimizing space utilization.
- Receiving - inspect and verify incoming shipments for accuracy, quantity and quality against packing lists or purchase orders.
- Unload, unpack, and sort incoming materials, ensuring they are properly labeled and stored in designated areas.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies or issues related to received items.
- Inventory Management Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by conducting regular cycle counts and stock reconciliation.
- Participate in periodic physical inventory counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Help organize and optimize warehouse storage layout to improve accessibility and maximize space utilization.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping Maintain clear and organized records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Update and maintain inventory databases and other relevant documentation.
- Safety and Compliance Adhere to established safety protocols and guidelines while handling materials, equipment, and shipments.
- Comply with company policies and procedures related to shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
- Housekeeping duties: sweep, garbage, overall cleanliness and organization.
- Customer Service Communicate and work in a courteous professional manner with remote customers, third-party vendors and co-workers.
- Operational Respond to all service and support calls when scheduled.
- Fill out all reports related to support calls with the appropriate level of detail.
- Technical Must be able to setup a Starlink and understand and navigate the Starlink and EnerStarlink portals.
- Understanding and application of network configuration parameters and fundamental networking principles.
- Interact professionally with EnerStar clients to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Promote quality assurance and uphold EnerStars core values.
- Participate in other relevant tasks as assigned.
Travel:The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by EnerStar.
Job Demands /Environment:
- Physical Requirements:This position involves infrequent lifting (must be able to lift 50 pounds), bending, climbing, walking, standing for extended periods, and working in confined spaces. Candidates must have the physical ability to safely perform these tasks.
- Medical Fitness:Due to the nature of the work and safety protocols, candidates must be medically fit to handle physically demanding tasks and work in varying environmental conditions.
- Work Conditions:Indoor warehouse - exposure to dust, noise, and other factors is common.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Experience / Qualifications:
- 1 + year.
- Forklift required.
- Experience in network configuration and fundamental principles is an asset.
- Ability to work in remote field environments and adapt to changing conditions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong commitment to EnerStars safety and environmental standards.
- Willingness and ability to properly utilize all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment is preferred but not required.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments and documentation.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to a specified weight limit) using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing processes and technologies.
- Strong work ethic and a proactive attitude toward completing tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively in French to handle and translate incoming technical support calls.
- Technical experience with communications, networking, or satellite protocols is an asset.
