Senior Financial Analyst Our Calgary client is seeking a
Senior Financial Analyst to support the Controller and play a key role within the Finance and Operations teams. The role involves preparing monthly P&L reports, conducting financial and operational analysis, assisting with senior accounting duties, and supporting special projects, while maintaining regular interaction with internal teams and stakeholders.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:- Monthly results P&L preparation and reporting
- Financial analysis and maintaining / tracking financial metrics for internal and external reporting
- Preparation of annual budgets and forecasting
- Assist with shareholder, bank and other stakeholder requests
- Assist with general day-to-day accounting including balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries
- Various projects and assignments supporting the accounting and finance groups
Your strengths include:- A post-secondary degree or diploma with a major in accounting/finance.
- CPA and or CFA designation
- 4+ years of related work experience in a finance / accounting analysis role
- Quick learner, highly motivated and results driven
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and previous experience with accounting software (Great Plains or similar)
