Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator – Power Quality & Preventative Maintenance to join their Service Division in Burnaby. This role will lead the delivery of preventative maintenance programs, power quality studies, and electrical upgrades. You will manage client relationships, estimate new work, and coordinate projects from start to finish — ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient performance across customer facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with electrical service or maintenance experience who enjoys both the technical and client-facing aspects of project management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, pursue, and estimate new business opportunities in power quality and preventative maintenance.
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, consultants, contractors, and end users.
- Review and negotiate contracts, identifying unfavourable terms or risk exposure.
- Take ownership of project financial performance, scheduling, and reporting.
- Source and purchase materials and equipment for service and maintenance projects.
- Collaborate with the Power Quality Manager, Coordinators, and Service Electricians to schedule inspections and upgrades.
- Oversee project execution and maintain a strong presence on job sites as needed.
- Review labour and job status reports for accuracy and make necessary adjustments.
- Ensure project documentation, including reports, manuals, and as-built drawings, is completed and delivered.
- Support project closeout by reviewing lessons learned with the team and ensuring all deficiencies are resolved promptly.
Qualifications:
- Electrical Trade Certification, Electrical Engineering Degree, or Electrical Technologist Diploma.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in electrical project management and/or estimating.
- Knowledge of Power Quality or Preventative Maintenance systems.
- Familiarity with high-voltage electrical work and related safety standards.
- Experience using estimating software (e.g., Accubid Pro, Change Order) is an asset.
- FSR B or A certification considered an asset.
- Understanding of arc flash studies, infrared scanning, power factor correction, and UPS systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary range: $85,000 – $100,000, commensurate with experience.
