We are seeking an experienced Information Security Engineer, who is interested in being a technical mentor to a small team. This role is also critical in ensuring the security and integrity of systems, networks, and data. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security policies, monitoring threats, and promoting best practices across this organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain security policies, standards, and controls.
- Monitor, detect, and respond to security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
- Conduct risk assessments and periodic security audits.
- Manage and optimize security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and DLP solutions.
- Investigate security breaches and provide remediation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks (e.g., PCI, PII, CASL).
- Stay current with emerging threats and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in information security or related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of MS Windows and Linux systems.
- Hands-on experience with security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP).
- Familiarity with risk management methodologies and compliance standards.
- Security certifications (e.g., CISSP) are an asset.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and adapt to evolving security challenges.
