Mainframe Developer
Location: Toronto, ON (4 days onsite per week)

Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our team in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in mainframe technologies, job scheduling tools, and source control systems, with a proven ability to work in Agile environments. This role requires hands-on development, maintenance, and support of enterprise applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, IMS DB, DB2, VSAM, and CICS .
- Manage and monitor batch processes with CA-7 and Control-M .
- Utilize source control tools such as Endevor, Changeman, and GIT for version management.
- Work with mainframe utilities including z/OS Connect, IDz, ZDT, ADDI, PD Tool, and IMS Explorer for Development .
- Collaborate using ITSM tools ( Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow ) to track and resolve issues.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in mainframe development and support.
- Proficiency with job scheduling and source control tools.
- Familiarity with ITSM platforms and Agile methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
