Job Description : Junior IT Project Manager
Location: Remote (occasional travel within Kitchener-Waterloo to Toronto region, Canada)
Contract Duration: 12 months
About the Role
We're is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager for technology initiatives that enhance end-user experience, productivity, and support across the enterprise. This role focuses on projects related to desktop support, collaboration tools, endpoint management, and user-facing systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership:
- Manage end-to-end delivery of IT projects impacting end-user services (hardware refreshes, software rollouts, service desk improvements).
- Define scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Monitor progress, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery within budget.
End User Services Oversight:
- Optimize desktop support, mobile device management, and collaboration platforms (Microsoft 365, Teams).
- Partner with service desk teams to improve resolution times and user satisfaction.
- Apply ITIL best practices across service delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as liaison between IT and business units for end-user initiatives.
- Conduct status updates, feedback sessions, and post-implementation reviews.
Process Improvement:
- Identify workflow optimization opportunities and implement automation/self-service tools.
- Track KPIs like first-call resolution and customer satisfaction scores.
Compliance & Security:
- Ensure endpoint configurations align with security and compliance standards (HIPAA, NIST).
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on device hardening and patching.
Vendor & Budget Management:
- Manage vendor relationships and support budgeting for end-user technology initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of IT project management experience focused on end-user services.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL, desktop support, and collaboration tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- PMP or equivalent certification (preferred).
