About the Role
We are seeking a Data Migration Lead to drive the end-to-end data migration workstream for our Oracle Cloud ERP implementation. In this role, you will lead the strategy, design, and execution of migrating finance and procurement data from legacy systems—Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP)—into Oracle Cloud ERP. You will collaborate with internal IT teams, development teams, and external partners to ensure accurate, trusted data is available for Day 1 and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the data migration plan , including scope, approach, tools, sequencing, and timelines for ETL processes across all in-scope objects (AR/AP transactions, POs, Customers, Suppliers, etc.).
- Perform data profiling and discovery to assess quality, identify duplicates, and define cleansing needs.
- Design mapping and transformation rules for legacy-to-Oracle Cloud ERP structures.
- Build and validate data extracts , conversion templates, and loading prerequisites in collaboration with technical teams and vendors.
- Execute mock conversions , reconcile record counts and financial reports, and resolve defects.
- Lead cutover execution , ensuring cleansed Day 1 data is loaded and integrations are activated post-go-live.
- Maintain governance, security, and compliance standards, including audit-ready documentation.
- Provide status updates, risk assessments, and decision support to project leadership.
Required Skills & Experience
- ETL & Data Migration Expertise : Strong knowledge of extraction, transformation, and loading best practices.
- ERP Data Knowledge : Deep experience with finance and procurement data (AR/AP, POs, Customer/Supplier master data).
- Oracle Cloud ERP Conversion Experience : Proven track record in legacy-to-Oracle Cloud ERP migrations.
- Legacy Systems Familiarity : Hands-on experience with Oracle EBS and Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (GP).
- Data Quality & Cleansing : Skilled in profiling, deduplication, and standardization techniques.
- Analytical Rigor : Ability to analyze complex datasets and define remediation steps.
- Project Leadership : Strong task management, milestone tracking, and cross-functional coordination.
- Communication & Collaboration : Clear reporting and stakeholder engagement across technical and business teams.
