Overview:
Greenhouse is seekingahard-working,reliable,highly skilledelectromechanical technicianwith strong electromechanicalexpertise, preferably in the food industryto join our maintenance team. This full-time position is based at our Mississauga facility and offers the flexibility to work1st,2ndshift,and occasional weekendsas needed. The ideal candidate is ahands-onself-starter with astrongunderstanding of industrial machinery, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
This is a full-time position based out of our Mississauga location within a rapidly growing start-up. This is a cool job, literallypleasenote that you will be working in refrigerated conditions for juice production.Your role will be critical inmaintainingand improving the performance of our production equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Key Performance Indicatorsfor the Maintenance team:
- Time tocritical equipment breakdowns(target is response to critical equipment breakdown is <1 hour, bring equipment back up running <4hours, complete repairs <24 hours)
- High priority Repairs Work Orders 100% Completion,overall95% completion rate, low-medium priority WO backlog <2 weeks.
- Target downtime<5 Hours Per Week
- 100% Document and Record-Keeping Compliance
Statement of Work & Responsibilities:
- Install,maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and electromechanical equipment (most notably rotary/gable top/canfillers,ROPP cappers,labelers, UHTs, homogenizers,variouspumps,depalletizer,high speed doors)
- Perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics, including reading schematics and troubleshooting control panels
- Ensure machineryoperatesat peak performance by performing preventive maintenance.
- Modify, fabricate, and upgrade machinery components as needed.
- Inspect andidentifymalfunctions in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Workwith the rest of the maintenance teamto track and document maintenance activities.
- Maintain an organized and clean maintenance area.
- Maintainaccurateinventory management of spare parts
- Provide recommendations for equipment improvements and efficiency enhancements.
- Adhere to workplace safety policies and food safety standards (HACCP compliance).
- Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
- Be available for occasional weekend/eveningwork andlonger shiftswhenemergency repairsare needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong preference tothose with a ticketedlicense for Millwright (433A) and/orElectrician (442A)
- Experience in a food and/or beverage manufacturing environment is a strong asset
- Minimum5years of experiencein an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong electromechanical skills, including knowledge of electric motor controls, PLCs, wiring circuits, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiencyin mechanical maintenance, including pneumatics
- Experience with industrial automation and robotics is an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Solid understanding of workplace safety and compliance regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Scissor lift and forklift certification are assets.
