A propos du poste :
En tant que Responsable Produit (PM) chez OPAL-RT, et relevant du Directeur Stratgie Produits et Investissements, vous serez le gardien de la vision produit, champion technique pour le march, et acteur cl de lvolution technologique de RT-LAB, SPS Software et ARTEMiS.
Votre mission : En troite collaboration avec les Responsables Solution (SM), vous transformez les orientations march en dcisions produit claires : quoi construire, pourquoi cela compte et comment le livrer de manire performante et fiable. Vous orientez la trajectoire produit et garantissez que chaque fonctionnalit livre est dsirable, faisable et viable pour les leaders mondiaux de la transition nergtique.

Responsabilits principales:
- Vision & trajectoire produit : transformer les orientations des SM en dcisions produit cohrentes avec larchitecture et les objectifs.
- Spcifications : dfinir des exigences claires et actionnables, intgrant faisabilit, qualit et exprience utilisateur.
- Backlog & priorisation : construire et maintenir le backlog, arbitrer les demandes clients et grer les interdpendances entre produits et programmes.
- Leadership collaboratif : aligner R&D, QA, SM, Marketing, Ventes, Services et Oprations sur les priorits et faciliter la prise de dcision.
- Support SM/Ventes : apporter un clairage technique, soutenir les dmonstrations et valider les besoins clients stratgiques.
- Mise en production : prparer et piloter les mises en production, former les quipes internes et organiser les boucles de feedback.
- Qualit & UX : garantir performance, stabilit, ergonomie, supportabilit et documentation du produit, notamment en dfinissant avec SM/R&D/QA les standards de test et en validant les fonctionnalits livres.
- Amlioration continue : suivre les indicateurs techniques (stabilit, dette, performance, fiabilit, maintenabilit) et proposer des optimisations.
Exigences :
- Formation et exprience professionnelle.
- Diplme universitaire en gnie lectrique, informatique, logiciel ou domaine connexe (matrise un atout).
- Formation en gestion de produit, innovation ou marketing technologique (atout).
- 6+ ans en dveloppement logiciel, ingnierie de systmes, ou gestion de produit.
- Pratique des mthodologies Agile/Scrum et des outils de backlog (JIRA/quivalent).
- Atouts : relation client, analyse de march/concurrence, participation des validations clients ou projets multi-quipes.
Comptences techniques:
- Connaissance des marchs nergie, transport, ducationnel, recherche et de leurs principaux acteurs.
- Connaissance de la simulation EMT et RMS des rseaux lectriques et dlectronique de puissance et des environnements temps rel ou embarqus.
- Maitrise des architectures logicielles et matrielles et des contraintes lies des produits complexes.
- Capacit collaborer efficacement avec des experts techniques (architectes, dveloppeurs, QA).
Comptences professionnelles:
- Franais obligatoire. La connaissance de l'anglais est requise pour la lecture de littrature technique disponible uniquement en anglais et la communication avec des partenaires anglophones; tre capable de vulgariser, dinspirer, et de sadapter des audiences varies, linterne comme lexterne.
- Forte capacit de travail transversal avec influence, sans autorit hirarchique
- Pense systmique et aptitude structurer, simplifier et prioriser dans un contexte forte complexit technique et stratgique.
- Curiosit intellectuelle, autonomie, rigueur et gestion efficace dun grand volume dinformation.

About the Position:
As a Product Manager (PM) at OPAL-RT, reporting to the Director of Product Strategy and Investments, you will be the guardian of the product vision, the technical champion for the market, and a key contributor to the technological evolution of RT-LAB, SPS Software, and ARTEMiS.
Your mission: In close collaboration with the Solution Managers (SM), you translate market directions into clear product decisions: what to build, why it matters, and how to deliver it efficiently and reliably. You guide the product trajectory and ensure that every delivered feature is desirable, feasible, and viable for global leaders in the energy transition.
At this strategic crossroads between technology, market, data, and users, you play a key role in OPAL-RTs ability to deliver the best real-time simulation platforms in the world. Main Responsibilities:
- Product vision & roadmap: transform SM directives into product decisions aligned with architecture and objectives.
- Specifications: define clear and actionable requirements, integrating feasibility, quality, and user experience.
- Backlog & prioritization: build and maintain the backlog, arbitrate customer requests, and manage interdependencies between products and programs.
- Collaborative leadership: align R&D, QA, SM, Marketing, Sales, Services, and Operations on priorities and support decision-making.
- SM/Sales support: provide technical insights, support demos, and validate strategic customer needs.
- Release management: prepare and lead releases, train internal teams, and organize feedback loops.
- Quality & UX: ensure product performance, stability, usability, supportability, and documentation, notably by defining testing standards with SM/R&D/QA and validating delivered features.
- Continuous improvement: monitor technical indicators (stability, debt, performance, reliability, maintainability) and propose optimizations.
Requirements :
Education and professional experience.
- University degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or related field (masters an asset).
- Training in product management, innovation, or technology marketing (asset).
- 6+ years in software development, systems engineering, or product management.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and backlog tools (JIRA/equivalent).
- Assets: customer relations, market/competitive analysis, participating in customer validations or multi-team projects.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of the energy, transportation, education, and research markets and their key players.
- Knowledge of EMT and RMS simulation of power systems and power electronics, as well as real-time or embedded environments.
- Mastery of software and hardware architectures and constraints related to complex products.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical experts (architects, developers, QA).
Professional Skills:
- French required. English proficiency is needed to read technical literature available only in English and to communicate with English-speaking partners; ability to popularize, inspire, and adapt to diverse audiences, internally and externally.
- Strong ability to work cross-functionally with influence, without hierarchical authority.
- Systems thinking and ability to structure, simplify, and prioritize in a context of high technical and strategic complexity.
- Intellectual curiosity, autonomy, rigor, and effective management of large volumes of information.
