Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Project Manager to oversee the construction and delivery of heavy industrial equipment. This role involves close collaboration with engineering and service teams, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment of vendors and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all moving parts of the project to ensure alignment between vendors, service teams, and documentation.
- Engage in approximately 80% internal and vendor management, and 20% customer-facing activities.
- Conduct meetings to review test results and project progress with stakeholders.
- Manage projects valued up to $20 million.
- Operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, maintaining a calm presence.
- Resolve conflicts effectively to ensure smooth project execution.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in construction or heavy industrial manufacturing projects.
- Experience managing projects valued at $5 million or more.
- Technical background in trades or engineering, specifically in mechanical or electrical disciplines.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-stress environments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- PMP Certification or equivalent is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in industrial, electrical, instrumentation, heavy-duty mechanic, or steel fabrication is advantageous.
- Familiarity with project coordination, change order processes, lean six sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with BC Hydro standards is an asset.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Vancouver, BC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $58.97 - $69.23/hr.
Workplace TypeThis is a hybrid position in Vancouver,BC.
