This on-site opportunity is for two resources to lead and coordinate the planning, adoption, and phased implementation of ServiceNow ITOM (Discovery) for a large federal government department.
This is a contract opportunity, that requires the team to be on-site 5 days/week.
Key Responsibilities:
ServiceNow Infrastructure Implementation Project
- Establish and support an ITOM governance framework, including roles, responsibilities, and decision-making structures
- Develop and maintain a phased implementation roadmap aligned with operational priorities and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate the deployment of MID Servers and credential management strategies across IT infrastructure.
- Oversee the configuration and execution of automated discovery schedules for servers, network devices, and other critical infrastructure assets.
- Support the design and implementation of a standardized CMDB data model aligned with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
- Facilitate integration of authoritative data sources (e.g., MECM, AD, DRIMIS) and reconciliation processes to improve CMDB completeness and accuracy.
- Lead stakeholder engagement across Service Management Centres (SMCs), Shared Services, and others to ensure alignment and adoption.
- Develop and deliver training materials and sessions using a train-the-trainer model to build internal capacity.
- Define and implement ITOM KPIs and dashboards to support executive decision-making and operational visibility.
- Provide regular progress reports, risk assessments, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with partners to ensure all discovery activities meet security authorization requirements.
- Support the development of SA&A documentation and MID Server deployment matrices.
What you must bring to this role:
- Must be eligible to obtain a federal government Reliability-level security clearance
- Must have a ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) certification, as well as a ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery certification.
- Must have a minimum of 48 months of related experience.
- Must have experience developing and managing a comprehensive implementation roadmap aligned with operational priorities and compliance requirements.
- Must be willing to work on-site in Ottawa (west) 5 days/week
