Senior Project Manager - Nuclear Facility (Industrial Construction)

Chandos is seeking a Senior Project Manager that must have proven experience leading large‑scale (500M+) nuclear construction projects.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a $1.5B nuclear facility—a highly process‑driven environment with ISO certification underway and over 250 professionals collaborating under Integrated Project Delivery (IPD).
The Senior Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project execution, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, procurement, risk, and stakeholder management. You will work closely with a Project Director, be mentored by senior leadership, and play a pivotal role in building Canada’s advanced nuclear materials research capacity.
- Lead project delivery using Chandos systems (Production System, PxP, Quality Management, Safety Program).
- Manage procurement, subtrade buy‑out, contracts, RFIs, change orders, and invoicing.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and reporting to ensure milestones and net margin targets are met.
- Direct and mentor project teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and grit.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Reinforce Chandos’ safety culture through inspections, compliance, and proactive risk management.
- Support business development by leveraging client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
- Contribute to project close‑out, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements *Only applicants who meet all minimum qualifications will be considered.
- 10+ years with a mid-large general contractor, including substantial major project delivery experience.
- Minimum 2 years as a Senior Construction Project Manager on industrial projects valued at $500M+.
- Demonstrable experience working on nuclear mega projects.
- Team Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead large, multi‑disciplinary teams in complex, high‑pressure environments.
- Technical Acumen: Strong knowledge of construction trades, safety management, compliance frameworks, and contract administration.
- Licensing: Valid Class 5 driver’s license required.
- Education: Technical diploma or degree in Construction or Engineering required.
- Core Attributes (non‑negotiable): Collaboration, grit, accountability.
