Key Responsibilities:
- Social Media Strategy & Leadership:
Develop, own, and continuously evolve the social media content strategy across multiple platforms and clients. Ensure clear alignment with overall brand positioning, campaign goals, and business objectives. Lead strategic planning, including content pillars, platform approach, brand voice development, channel roadmaps, and social-first campaign thinking. Drive and build pitch decks for new business opportunities, including strategic narrative, example calendars, channel recommendations, and creative/social tone exploration.
- Influencer & Creator Management:
Oversee influencer strategy end-to-end: identifying and recommending talent, outreach, booking, negotiation, contracting, billing, and performance evaluation. Build and maintain trusted relationships with creators and talent partners, ensuring brand alignment and smooth campaign execution. Confidently negotiate fees, scope, rights, exclusivity, and usage to protect both creative integrity and budget.
- Content Direction & Execution Oversight:
Lead the creation, oversight, and execution of social content with a high bar for quality, craft, and originality. Provide clear creative direction to content teams, designers, and writers to deliver on-platform work that feels intentional and elevated. Remain hands-on when needed, proficient in creating content directly (Canva, Figma, Adobe Suite, content capture tools) and able to jump in to solve, polish, or push work over the line.
- Team Leadership & Collaboration:
Act as a senior partner to internal teams, content, creative, design, copy, and production, to integrate social efforts into broader marketing initiatives. Mentor junior team members, offer constructive feedback, and help develop workflow and standards for consistent excellence. Foster collaboration and momentum across multiple projects.
- Platform Ownership & Optimization:
Own day-to-day and long-term platform management, including scheduling, publishing, community rhythms, and performance monitoring using Meta Business Suite or similar tools. Ensure best practices and platform-specific execution are upheld, and proactively recommend improvements to formats, cadence, and channel mix.
- Trend Hunting & Moment Marketing:
Stay deeply plugged into platform behaviour, cultural trends, and emerging formats. Proactively bring forward ideas for moment marketing, reactive content, and cultural opportunities that exceed brand expectations. Lead trend-to-idea translation: not just spotting trends, but shaping them into brand-right executions quickly and strategically.
- Analytics, Insight & Reporting:
Track, analyze, and report on social media performance across brands, with an emphasis on insights, not just numbers. Translate metrics into clear learnings and actionable next steps. Use performance to inform strategy adjustments, creative direction, and future recommendations. Present results confidently to senior clients and internal leadership.
- Senior Client Communication & Account Ownership:
Serve as a key senior point of contact for client updates, feedback, and strategy alignment related to social campaigns. Lead client presentations, status discussions, and performance reviews with professionalism, clarity, and strong recommendations. Manage multiple clients/projects simultaneously, anticipating needs, protecting timelines, and ensuring smooth execution across accounts.
- Community Management & Reputation Stewardship:
Oversee multiple brands’ social channels for strategic communications and engagement. Lead channel tone, response frameworks, escalation protocols, and crisis management in partnership with account/leadership teams. Grow and nurture engaged audiences through thoughtful engagement strategies. Confidently recommend internal and external engagement opportunities, partnerships, and community-building initiatives.
