Our client is a well-established construction and project-based organization in the Niagara Region seeking an Estimating Manager to lead and scale their estimating function. This is a confidential search being conducted on behalf of the employer.
This Estimating Manager role will appeal to a hands-on estimating leader who enjoys balancing technical accuracy with team leadership and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the estimating team across multiple bid opportunities
- Prepare, review, and finalize detailed cost estimates and tenders
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Develop and maintain estimating standards, tools, and processes
- Collaborate closely with project management, operations, and leadership
- Assess risk, margins, and pricing strategies to support profitable growth
- Support bid strategy, value engineering, and post-bid reviews
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive experience in oil, gas, construction estimating
- Previous experience in a senior or lead estimating role
- Strong knowledge of take-offs, costing, and tender preparation
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and multiple bids concurrently
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency with estimating software and MS Excel
- Post-secondary education in construction, engineering, or a related field is an asset
