About Billdr
Billdr is building the AI-native operating system for SMB general contractors (GCs) and home builders. Our first product is Billdr PRO a modern, all-in-one software that unifies estimating, project management, scheduling, invoicing, and procurement. We serve construction professionals across North America, helping them run their construction businesses more efficiently and profitably.
We’re backed by world-class investors (White Star Capital, One Way Ventures, Desjardins Capital, asterX, Formentera Capital) and we’re scaling fast. If you’re excited about construction, technology, and helping small businesses thrive, this is the place to be.
The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who’s passionate about designing simple, elegant solutions to complex problems in vertical SaaS. You’ll be the design owner for one of our core product areas — collaborating with software engineers, our customer success team and founders to shape user experiences that feel magical to general contractors and home builders.
This role is a blend of product strategy, UX research, and UI execution, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and wants to leave a design legacy in a high-impact vertical SaaS product.
What You’ll Do
- Design and ship core features across our SaaS platform and native mobile app
- Own the full design process: from research, wireframes, prototypes to final, production-ready UI
- Work alongside peers from the engineering, customer success and design teams to transform user insights into impactful product experiences
- Test and validate designs before release to ensure usability, consistency, and visual polish
- Evolve our design system to keep interfaces consistent and efficient across product surfaces
- Gather and synthesize feedback from real users to inform product decisions
- Help shape a design culture focused on quality, speed, and real-world impact
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years designing SaaS products across desktop and mobile
- Experience designing native mobile applications
- Strong UX foundation: information architecture, user flows, and interaction design
- Strong UI craft: hierarchy, clarity, and consistency in execution
- Experience maintaining or contributing to a design system
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex product challenges
- Comfortable collaborating directly with engineers and testing your own designs before release
- Proficiency with Figma and modern collaborative workflows
- Excellent communicator with a product mindset and obsession for detail
Bonus
- Experience in fintech or financial workflows (e.g., payments, invoicing, budgeting)
- Experience designing AI-driven features or intelligent workflows that enhance user productivity
- Experience with Webflow and web design fundamentals
- Experience in a fast-paced startup or product-led environment
Who You’ll Work With
- Another Senior Product Designer (your design partner and creative sparring ally)
- An A-team of full-stack engineers
- The Customer Success team (bridging client feedback and product improvements)
- The CEO (deeply product-obsessed)
What makes this role special?
- Significant creative ownership: your fingerprints will be everywhere
- Build the future of construction tech on a software used by thousands of construction professionals every day
- Collaborate with a small, product-first team that ships fast and learns constantly
- Work on real problems that blend design, finance, AI, and operations
- Help shape a product that’s redefining how construction runs in North America
Who You Are
- You’re a curious, pragmatic, and empathetic designer who thrives in a collaborative environment
- You think in systems, care about details, and work closely with engineers to bring ideas to life
- You’re confident asking why, iterating fast, and owning your work from concept to release
- You value teamwork, openness, and clarity — and believe great products are built together
