We are seeking an Independent (1099) Contract Recruiter that will primarily support the sourcing, recruitment efforts and hiring process for Salaried and Hourly positions within the Dexter Distribution business in Canada. Applicants MUST be bilingual in both French and English.
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, this recruiter will partner with HR Manager and Hiring teams to help identify top talent, build talent pipelines, and provide advisory partnership on recruitment processes. The ideal candidate will bring proven experience in recruiting both salaried and hourly positions across the Canadian market. Previous exposure to distribution, warehouse, and/or manufacturing industries is preferred. In addition, the candidate should demonstrate the ability to successfully recruit for functional roles in Finance, Sales, Information Technology, and other professional business functions. Language fluency in Quebec French / English is required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide full cycle recruiting services from first search to offer and hire.
- Work closely with the business (hiring managers) to understand organization structure, culture, responsibilities, strengths/weaknesses and key business drivers.
- Manage 12-15 requisitions successfully while ensuring regular communication with respective hiring managers, teams and HR
- Ensure various sourcing channels are sufficiently utilized, including but not limited to employee referrals, career portals, search firms, etc.
- Support the Dexter hiring process to provide positive experiences for candidates and business partners.
- Partner with hiring managers to build layered sourcing strategies aligned to hiring objectives.
- Partner in a cross-functional and matrixed environment including with leadership team, HR, Corporate Talent Acquisition team, and external staffing vendors.
- Operate within our ATS to ensure effective reporting and a data driven recruiting approach.
- Applicant pre-qualification screening
- Shepherd candidates through the recruitment process ensuring they remain informed and engaged
- Consult with TA and HR to provide recommendations for best practices and opportunities for improvement and increased efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- 5+ Years experience in full-lifecycle recruitment, supporting Business functions, I.T. and Manufacturing Operations Salaried and Hourly roles.
- Expertise recruiting among all levels from entry-level to Director-level
- Detail oriented with strong communication capabilities, both written and verbal.
- Experience working in a high-growth or fast paced environment strongly preferred.
- Fluent with Applicant Tracking Systems
- Must have strong Sourcing experience with LinkedIn Recruiter
Candidates must be located in the United States or Canada and be knowledgeable in Canadian recruitment and workforce regulations and practices.
