We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner , based in Ontario, who will play a key role in supporting the teams attached to our offices in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia , as well as our sales workforce. Reporting to the Head of HR based in Québec at the head office , this role will also ensure the alignment and connection of all HR practices, processes, and projects across Canada .
This strategic position supports our operations in the alcoholic & nonalcoholic beverages industry .
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & HR Advisory
- Serve as the primary HR contact for leaders and employees across assigned regions.
- Provide guidance on performance management, conflict resolution, and coaching.
- Conduct and support investigations, ensuring fairness, consistency, and accurate documentation.
- Advise leaders on policy interpretation, employment standards, and best HR practices.
- Monitor employee relations trends and identify opportunities to improve engagement and organizational culture.
Recruitment & Workforce Planning
- Support recruitment efforts for roles supporting the teams attached to our offices in Ontario, Alberta, and British Columbia, including sales force positions.
- Support hiring managers in job descriptions, interview processes, and candidate selection.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality onboarding and offboarding across all regions.
- Partner closely with Talent Acquisition to define and execute effective attractive strategies in a competitive market.
Performance Management
- Guide leaders through performance review cycles, goal setting, and continuous feedback.
- Coach managers on addressing underperformance and conducting challenging conversations.
Culture & Engagement
- Drive initiatives that strengthen engagement, recognition, and connection across regions.
- Contribute to change management and organizational development activities.
Support the Business in All Talent Processes
- Support talent planning, succession planning, and development strategies.
- Partner with leaders to identify development needs and recommend learning opportunities.
- Provide guidance on compensation practices and salary reviews.
- Provide direction and support during annual performance review exercises.
Policy, Compliance & HR Operations
- Ensure compliance with provincial employment legislation (Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia).
- Maintain consistency in the application of HR policies and recommend updates as needed.
Project Management & Strategic HR Initiatives
- Lead and support project management activities related to the annual HR initiatives plan, supporting the organization’s Long range HR Plan.
- Ensure timely execution, tracking, and communication of key HR projects across Canada.
- Collaborate with the HR leadership team to align regional execution with national HR priorities.
- Facilitate cross-functional coordination to ensure consistent application of initiatives and best practices across all sites.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of HR generalist experience , ideally with multi-site or multi-province scope.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation
- Proven ability to build trust and strong relationships at all organizational levels.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally within Canada.
