We’re looking for a full-time, in-office Associate Portfolio Manager – Retail, in the investment management industry.

Associate Portfolio Manager responsibilities: - Build and maintain long-term client relationships through ongoing reviews and high-touch discretionary service
- Conduct annual and periodic client reviews to meet KYC requirements
- Support new client onboardings, including development of Investment Policy Statements (IPS) and Investment Management Agreements (IMA)
- Assess client objectives, risk tolerance, and suitability to recommend appropriate portfolios
- Act as a member of the Investment Committee, conducting security and sector research to meet KYP obligations
- Assist with portfolio construction, rebalancing, and trade execution, including pre- and post-trade analysis
- Monitor model portfolios and securities, reporting on performance, risk metrics, and market developments
- Generate and analyze performance and risk metrics across multiple portfolio management systems
- Support quarterly reporting, corporate reorganizations, and ad hoc projects as needed
The successful candidate has: - 2+ years of relevant investment management experience
- BCom (Finance/Accounting)
- Has a knowledge and understanding of Canadian Investment products
- Immediately registerable as an Associate Advising Representative (AAR) or Advising Representative (AR)
- Has passed CFA Level I with 24 months of relevant investment management experience OR holds the Canadian Investment Manager (CIM) designation with 24 months of investment management experience.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, issue resolution)
- Experience using Bloomberg terminals is an asset but not required
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong business acumen, willingness to learn confident and has a genuine ability to connect with clients and team members
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities, working independently and as a team
