Overview
The Associate Director, Development & Strategic Partnerships will work closely with the Senior Advisor for Revenue Generation & Brand Partnerships and organizational leadership to drive high-value revenue opportunities, secure strategic partnerships, and advance the organization’s most critical external relationships.
This is a client-facing role with significant responsibility for originating, pitching, negotiating, and securing partnerships. In this role, the Associate Director will translate organizational strategy into executable business development initiatives, lead partner engagement, and serve as a trusted representative of the organization with external stakeholders, with clear accountability for closing deals and generating revenue through the partnerships and pipeline they develop.
The role balances strategic leadership and execution, with accountability for delivering measurable business development outcomes while supporting leadership priorities and long-term partnership growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Revenue Generation (80%)
· Lead the identification, cultivation, pitching, and securing of new revenue opportunities and partnerships aligned with organizational priorities.
· Own and drive select opportunities through the full business development lifecycle, from prospecting and strategy through proposal development, negotiation, and close.
· Develop and deliver high-impact pitches, partnership proposals, concept decks, and executive-level briefing materials for senior external audiences.
· Serve as client-facing representative in meetings with prospective partners, funders, and stakeholders.
· Translate complex strategies and value propositions into compelling narratives tailored to executive and decision-making audiences.
· Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to refine and position Legacy+’s evolving value proposition in the market.
· Conduct strategic research and analysis on prospective partners, industries, and trends to inform outreach and deal strategy.
· Maintain shared accountability for the business development pipeline with senior leadership, ensuring consistent momentum, prioritization, and follow-through.
· Support preparation for senior-level prospect meetings, ensuring clear strategy, messaging, and next steps.
· Provide oversight and quality control across all externally facing business development materials.
Strategic Partnerships & Leadership Initiatives (20%)
· Steward key partnerships post-close as requested, ensuring strong communication, alignment, and long-term relationship value.
· Lead and participate in partner check-ins, progress briefings, and strategic conversations to deepen engagement and identify growth opportunities (as requested)
· Coordinate partner activations, engagements, and strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal teams.
· Support the design and execution of leadership-facing and organization-wide strategic initiatives.
· Contribute to cross-functional efforts that advance the Co-Founder’s and leadership team’s strategic priorities.
· Provide flexible, high-level support on emerging priorities that require external-facing leadership and execution.
Skills/Competencies
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence senior external audiences.
· Proven ability to pitch, negotiate, and advance complex partnership discussions.
· Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution.
· Experience developing executive-level presentations, proposals, and partnership materials.
· Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously with minimal oversight.
· Collaborative leadership style with strong judgment and professionalism.
· Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and taking ownership of outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
· 7+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, fundraising, consulting, or related fields.
· Demonstrated success in client-facing roles, including pitching and securing partnerships or revenue-generating opportunities.
· Experience working with senior stakeholders and executive-level decision-makers.
· Strong background in writing- and design-intensive environments.
· Proficiency with PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and/or Illustrator preferred).

· High level of initiative, curiosity, and accountability.
· Ability to represent the organization with credibility, confidence, and discretion.
