The primary responsibilities of the Director of Manufacturing are development and execution of the company’s plant operational strategy. This includes development and execution of operational processes from order receipt to order delivery, manufacturing, supply chain and a manufacturing and warehousing growth plan. You will also refine, develop and implement reporting to create a deep understanding of process effectiveness.

What You Will Do
Develop and execute manufacturing strategies that align with short- and long-term company objectives.
Analyze internal operations and identify opportunities to increase efficiencies and quality.
Directly lead manufacturing to include production planning, procurement planning, production, maintenance, facilities, warehousing, logistics, safety and plant human resources.
Monitor performance and establish corrective measures where needed. Prepare detailed reports
to reflect current and forecasted key performance indicators.
Propose, develop, manage, and execute capital projects. Equipment research and analysis.
Develop and manage a budget for operations areas
Plan for future company growth by forecasting required changes to operations and infrastructure
to ensure company can increase capacity in a productive manner.
Accountability for inventory management and accuracy.
Ensure SOPs are in place for all operations tasks to create a systematic reliable process, create or
re-design as necessary.
Monitor quality throughout the manufacturing and shipping process to ensure quality standards
are maintained from start to customer delivery. Implement changes in conjunction with the Quality Manager to improve results.
Develop and lead maintenance programs
Develop and promote a constructive culture focused on quality, continuous improvement,
operational excellence, accountability and safety.
Maintain effective communication throughout all levels of the organization to ensure key performance indicators are set, measured and achieved.
Develop and execute on required employee training and seek opportunities for further
development.
Performance management of team members to drive a culture of high performance and
accountability for actions.
Lead by example, that includes being hands-on in the plant whether for training purposes,
coaching, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
Interviewing candidates for the operational team
Work hours are at least 42.5 hours per week. Business hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday. This is a senior management role where objectives and deadlines must be met.

What You Have
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, operations management
- 10 years manufacturing leadership experience. 5 years at a Director/Vice President level preferred. All ideally in the CPG industry.
- Strong understanding and experience working with business financials related to operations.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics, along with exceptional critical thinking and analytical capabilities.
- Through understanding of productivity methodologies including lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma.
- Strong understanding of modern manufacturing technologies and automation. Including machinery, hardware and software.
- Demonstrated continuing education in the above areas is an asset
- Budget accountability related to operations
- Exceptional data analysis skills
- Experience using modern ERP systems like Oracle NetSuite and Office 365
- Ability to adapt to working hours, willing to handle work outside of normal office hours and business travel when required.

Salary Range - $130,000 to $150,000 Annual
