PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The RSC Operations & Culture Specialist is responsible for the delivery of the employee experience at KFC Canada’s RSC in partnership with the Manager, P&C Business Partner. This position supports integration of talent into the business, oversees day-to-day office management, and leads the workplace experience across a variety of outlets including communications, wellbeing, and OH&S.
*Please note this is a 1 year contract role to cover a Mat Leave.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage end-to-end onboarding programming for new hires to ensure a seamless employee experience.
- Support recruitment efforts by managing screening, scheduling, and logistics for RSC hiring.
- Develop and execute restaurant training plans for new hires.
- Oversee day-to-day office management, including but not limited to supplies, vendor coordination, ordering, space planning.
- Develop, maintain, and communicate RSC policies in alignment with company standards.
- Lead Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) initiatives and compliance.
- Administer employee benefits and RRSP plans, including communications and vendor management.
- Lead internal communications across the RSC and Field teams.
- Plan and execute wellness initiatives and employee engagement activities.
- Maintain and organize employee records in HR systems and assist with payroll logistics in partnership with payroll team.
- Manage visa and immigration processes for applicable employees.
- Manage RSC technology in support of seamless employee experience from onboarding to offboarding.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIRED
- Education/Certifications
- Required: Secondary school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Office Administration, HR, or a related field
- Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) certification
This role must have…
- 3+ years of relevant experience in an office management, employee experience, HR support, or OH&S role
- Project & Operational Coordination
- Ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously (onboarding, payroll logistics, benefits, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills for managing documents, compliance records, and deadlines
- Comfort with vendor and office management (supplies, space planning, services)
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills
- Professional written and verbal communication, especially for internal comms with RSC and Field teams
- Ability to coordinate across departments and build trusted relationships with employees at all levels
- Discretion and emotional intelligence when handling sensitive topics (e.g., wellness, immigration, personal data)
- Systems & Tech Proficiency
- Experience working with HRIS platforms (e.g., Oracle, ADP) for data entry and upkeep
- Comfort with productivity tools like Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook), and project management software (e.g., Asana)
- Digital file management and basic reporting abilities
- Compliance & Policy Awareness
- Basic understanding of employment standards, OH&S, and payroll requirements
- Experience supporting the execution of policies and workplace programs in alignment with compliance
- Event & Program Execution
- Ability to plan, communicate, and execute internal events (wellness, engagement)
- Attention to detail in managing timelines, stakeholders, and follow-up tasks
