A well-established, prominent law firm in downtown Vancouver is seeking a Corporate Legal Administrative Assistant/Paralegal to join its Corporate Services group. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional who is looking to grow into a paralegal role while maintaining a strong administrative foundation. This is a full-time, 100% in-office position.
This position is primarily LAA-focused (approximately 75%), with exposure to paralegal-level work (approximately 25%), and is well suited to someone currently working in a corporate Legal Administrative Assistant role or a hybrid Legal Administrative Assistant/Paralegal role who is enrolled in or has completed a Paralegal Diploma or Certificate.
Responsibilities
- Opening, organizing, and maintaining corporate files
- Preparing and managing corporate documentation, including incorporations, annual filings, resolutions, and related records
- Assisting with corporate and business structuring matters
- Managing calendars, deadlines, and reminders
- Communicating with clients, government registries, and external stakeholders
- Providing administrative and billing support, including time entry and invoice preparation
- Supporting lawyers with day-to-day practice and file management needs
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience as a Corporate Legal Administrative Assistant or hybrid Legal Administrative Assistant/Paralegal role
- Corporate law experience in a BC law firm environment
- Completion of an LAA certificate is preferred
- Enrollment in or intent to pursue a Paralegal Diploma
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Professional communication skills and sound judgment
- Interest in developing paralegal-level skills within a supportive, mentored environment
Compensation
The firm offers a competitive salary and benefits package, with an expected salary range of $70,000–$80,000, commensurate with experience and internal equity.
