Our client is recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join their Commercial Real Estate group who will contribute to the overall excellent level of service provided to our clients. The ideal candidate should be someone who takes pride in their work, is detail oriented, reliable, highly organized and has the ability to handle multiple priorities. This is a full time opportunity offering a hybrid work model.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Managing administrative needs of two busy partners practices
- Manage duties related to billing and accounting
- Organizing files and keeping all electronic and physical filing up to date
- Manage duties related to LSO requirements, including in connection with file opening, client verification, entering and tracking CPD hours
- Some assistance with preparation and completion of documentation for commercial real estate purchase, sale and mortgage transactions
- Review title and off title searches, draft title memoranda
- Prepare reporting letters and statements of account
- Handle off title enquiry letters and off-title enquiry charts
- Prepare drafts of requisition letters based upon title search results
- Assist with other projects, financing and development work, as needed
- Produce the highest quality of work

Core Requirements & Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years’ previous experience as a Legal Assistant
- Successful completion of a related post-secondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk program
- Flexible to work over time as required
- Handle time pressure situations and stress of multiple demands
- Microsoft Office 365 suite of applications
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to problem solve, remain calm and professional even during heavy workload
