Role Overview:
The Production Chemist is responsible for ensuring consistent product quality, troubleshooting chemical processes, identify and solve problems in production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee chemical production in compliance with SOPs, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Analyze raw materials, in-process samples, and final products to ensure quality.
- Participate in continuous improvement and resolve production issues.
- Train technicians and ensure proper calibration of laboratory instruments.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO 17025/17034) and health & safety regulations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Mandatory Chemistry Degree (Bachelor’s in Chemistry or equivalent).
- Membership in the Ordre des Chimistes du Québec (OCQ) .
- Strong knowledge of Organic Chemistry, including reaction mechanisms.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in chemical production at a manufacturing site.
- Experience in chemical production and manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of ICP standards, aqueous and organic standard preparation.
- Knowledge of ISO 17025/17034 compliance and quality assurance processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.

Aperçu du Poste :
Le Chimiste de production est chargé d’assurer une qualité constante des produits, de dépanner les processus chimiques, d’identifier et de résoudre les problèmes reliés à la production.
Principales Responsabilités:
- Superviser la production chimique en conformité avec les SOP, la sécurité et les normes environnementales.
- Analyser matières premières, échantillons et produits finis pour garantir la qualité.
- Participer à l’amélioration continue des processus et à la résolution des problèmes de production.
- Assurer la formation des techniciens et le bon étalonnage des instruments de laboratoire.
- Garantir la conformité aux normes qualité (ISO 17025/17034) et aux réglementations de santé et sécurité.
Qualifications et Compétences :
- Diplôme en chimie obligatoire (Baccalauréat en Chimie ou équivalent).
- Être membre de l’Ordre des Chimistes du Québec (OCQ) .
- Solide connaissance de la chimie organique, y compris des mécanismes réactionnels.
- 3 à 5 ans d’expérience en production chimique sur un site de fabrication.
- Expérience en production chimique et en procédés de fabrication.
- Solide connaissance des standards ICP, de la préparation des standards aqueux et organique
- Compréhension approfondie des normes ISO 17025/17034 et des processus d’assurance qualité.
- Capacité à résoudre les problèmes de qualité et à mettre en œuvre des actions correctives.
- Engagement fort envers la sécurité au travail et la conformité réglementaire.
