We are seeking an experienced Marine Electrical Technologist to support the design, automation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of electrical systems across various vessel projects. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and ideal for someone who enjoys both technical design and field service work.
What You’ll Do
- Design and integrate marine electrical power and control systems
- Program and commission PLC-based automation systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.)
- Install, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation and control devices
- Diagnose electrical and automation issues in workshop and onboard environments
- Support installations, commissioning, and sea trials
- Create wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and marine clients
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Marine Systems, or related field
- 3–5+ years of experience in marine electrical systems or industrial automation
- Knowledge of marine electrical standards (ABS, DNV, Lloyd’s, etc.)
- Experience with PLC programming, VFDs, HMIs, and control networks
- Ability to read and produce electrical schematics (CAD required)
- Strong troubleshooting and field service experience
- Valid driver’s license + ability to travel to shipyards and vessels
