Our client, a leading precision machining company in the GTA, is seeking an experienced CNC 5-Axis Machinist to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position offering long-term career growth in a clean, well-equipped, and innovative shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate 5-axis CNC milling machines (DMG MORI experience required)
- Perform tool changes, machine changeovers, and program adjustments
- Read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering drawings
- Conduct in-process inspections to ensure tight tolerances and high-quality finishes
- Collaborate with programmers and engineers to optimize machining processes
- Maintain equipment and ensure a safe, organized work environment
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of CNC 5-axis machining experience
- Strong experience with DMG MORI machines (setup and changeover a must)
- Ability to read G-code and make offsets as required
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
