SNELL Medical Communication is presently searching for a Montreal-based Senior Project Manager to join our growing team.
This position requires an experienced professional in medical communications or education who can manage a diverse portfolio of educational programs for healthcare professionals, as well as marketing support initiatives for biopharmaceutical clients.
Working closely with an Account Director, the Senior Project Manager should possess a strong understanding of health sciences and the confidence to interface directly with clients and medical thought leaders. Supported by internal and external resources, the Senior Project Manager acts as the central hub of a multidisciplinary SNELL team that includes medical writers, logistics specialists, creative professionals, and technical and accounting staff. Some travel may be required.
This position offers a clear path for advancement to the role of Account Director for individuals demonstrating leadership, strategic insight, and client relationship development.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary liaison with clients and medical experts
- Participate in meetings with clients and medical thought leaders
- Contribute to strategic and tactical project planning
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure timely project execution
- Oversee project deliverables and ensure quality standards are met
- Oversee submission of materials (e.g., manuscripts, slide decks, abstracts, posters, supporting documents) to clients, journals, and congresses
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and documentation
Requirements
- University degree in a health science discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five years' experience in medical communications or medical education
- Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and oral)
- Ability to interact confidently with clients and collaborating medical experts
- Bilingualism (English/French, written and oral)
- Creative, strategic thinking and problem-solving ability
- Superior organizational skills and resourcefulness
- Capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Flexibility to travel
- Experience in ophthalmology is an asset
- Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana) is an asset
- Experience with document management platforms (e.g., Veeva, Datavision) is an asset
- Project management certification is an asset
