Responsibilities
- Prepare and file court submissions
- Communicate with the Canada Revenue Agency on behalf of clients
- Draft, proofread, and format legal documents
- Support multiple lawyers on an as-needed basis (no exclusive pairing)
- Manage files and case information
- Handle document organization, PDF preparation, and administrative tasks
- Use AI-assisted legal tools to support drafting and communication
- Adapt quickly to small process changes and evolving workflows
Requirements
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-starter mindset with high adaptability
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort with technology and new software
- Professionalism, maturity, and reliability
- Confidence speaking on the phone, including with the CRA
- No tax law experience required
- Litigation or legal office experience is an asset but not mandatory
- Open to candidates at both junior and senior levels - mindset matters more than years of experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Word with Styles)
- Competence in handling PDFs
- General comfort with AI tools is beneficial
