Kanafani Sweets & Coffee is an authentic Middle Eastern dessert café known for its signature Knafeh, refined sweets, and expertly crafted coffee. We are seeking a dedicated and personable Part-Time Barista to join our Ridgeway Plaza location.
Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site barista role at Kanafani Sweets & Coffee Inc., located in Mississauga, Ontario. As a Barista, you will prepare high-quality coffee beverages, assist in the preparation and serving of Middle Eastern sweets and pastries, and ensure an excellent customer experience. Daily responsibilities include taking orders, operating coffee-making equipment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and providing a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for customers. You will play a key role in delivering Kanafani’s signature hospitality and ensuring that every visit is memorable.
Qualifications
- Barista experience, with knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment operation
- Strong customer service and communication skills to create a welcoming and positive experience for all customers
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
- Experience in food preparation, including handling and serving pastries, desserts, or other food items
- Attention to detail, cleanliness, and food safety practices in line with industry standards
- Ability to manage a fast-paced work environment and multitask as needed
- Previous experience in hospitality, food service, or customer-facing roles is a plus
