Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a People Manager based in Halifax, NS. The People Manager will oversee employee relations, recruitment, training, and development initiatives. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with employment regulations, fostering a positive workplace culture, implementing HR policies, and addressing employee concerns. Additionally, the People Manager will play a key role in performance management, designing retention strategies, and supporting organizational development goals.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership, relationship management, and conflict resolution skills
- Proven experience in employee recruitment, onboarding, and talent development
- Knowledge of employment laws, HR policies, and compliance standards
- Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making abilities
- Experience with performance management and employee engagement strategies
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- HR certifications (e.g., CHRP/SHRM) are a plus
- Experience in organizational development or workforce planning is an asset
