Primary Role
Responsible for the creation of design, issuance, revision, and sign-off of design packages using 3D CAD software and other Evans-developed applications. A Designer Level I has familiarity with two to three product lines and can execute parametric designs from master models that feature minimal custom design. Finally, Designer Level I supports Change Management in the form of simple ECO tasks under the direction of the Engineering Change Champion.
Key Responsibilities
- Design parametric control room consoles/components using 3D CAD software.
- Create manufacturing drawings following accepted drafting standards.
- Generate BoM’s (Bills of Materials), and other related project documents.
- Perform project signoffs.
- Resolve project-related issues in manufacturing.
- Support other designers in larger/more complex projects.
- Engage with the NCPR (Non-Conforming Product [or Process] Report) system in a constructive manner.
Qualifications
- Certification in Autodesk Inventor, Vault, and iLogic.
- Familiarity with modern Microsoft products, including SharePoint, Teams and Office 365 suite.
Education/Experience
- Technical Diploma or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience with practical design, or manufacturing industry experience.
- Autodesk Inventor Certified User or equivalent.
