OVERVIEW:
PMC Energy is seeking a proven leader in the HVAC industry to join its senior leadership team as Service Manager . Based in Halifax, this role will oversee our HVAC service operations across Nova Scotia, driving growth, operational efficiency, and exceptional customer experiences. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a growing division while contributing to PMC’s mission of delivering outstanding, environmentally responsible energy solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the HVAC service team to achieve excellence in safety, performance, and customer satisfaction
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including service administration, dispatch, invoicing, and work-in-progress reviews
- Drive business development through preventative maintenance agreements, repair quotations, and technician-led opportunities
- Conduct site visits, quality checks, and safety inspections to ensure high standards of delivery
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Collaborate with directors, the general manager, and ownership on company strategy and growth initiatives
- Monitor KPIs, financial performance, and present operational updates to senior leadership
- Mentor and coach staff to strengthen capabilities and achieve departmental goals
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 2 years of service management experience in the HVAC industry (preferred)
- Skilled trade certificate, AEC/DEP, or equivalent education (preferred)
- Strong leadership and team development skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance, repair estimating, and HVAC operations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with service management systems
- Ability to travel within Nova Scotia as required
- Self-motivated with a commitment to innovation and sustainability

WORKING CONSIDERATIONS:
