DC&F is a dynamic, full-service construction management firm located in North York, serving all of
Ontario. We specialize in mid-rise multi-residential construction and ICI public procurement projects,
with our project range spanning from affordable housing to various commercial and institutional
developments.
Our projects typically range from $10 million to $80 million in value. Additionally, DC&F
handles mid to large-scale renovations for diverse commercial applications, including medical offices,
sales centers, office spaces, and other commercial fit-up projects.
We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Site Superintendent to join our team. We’re
looking for a strong Superintendent who can lead a small team of on site staff and various
subcontractors through project initialization, complete construction process and project closeout.
This position will involve managing approximately 1-4 direct labourers working under the Site
Superintendent as well as dozens of subcontractors and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage overall site control and ensure construction activities are on schedule.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractor work, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.
• Maintain comprehensive project logs and ensure compliance with all health and safety
regulations.
• Monitor subcontractor quality and performance, conducting quality control throughout the
preconstruction and construction phases.
• Schedule material deliveries, ensuring proper quantities are received.
• Organize and manage internal labor teams to ensure project progress.
• Ensure third-party inspections are conducted as required by municipal building departments,
Tarion, and other governing bodies.
• Manage and monitor on site health and safety requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent on multi-residential projects, including
structures over 4 stories.
• Experience with underground parking structures and all associated tasks (shoring,
waterproofing, site servicing, concrete forming) is an asset.
• Strong understanding of reading and analyzing construction drawings, specifications, and
reports (including geotechnical and DSS reports).
• Expertise in value engineering and the ability to make recommendations for design and
specification changes.• In-depth knowledge of trades, including concrete forming, framing, shoring, and excavation.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and interact with clients and
stakeholders.
• Must have completed at least 2 projects valued at 5,000,000 + in the past as a superintendent.
