Position Overview:
Forbes Bros Ltd. is seeking multiple Labourer's (full-time, permanent). The Labourer will be responsible for assisting other crew members in day-to-day tasks inclusive of but not limited to operating small equipment and tools to complete tasks, carrying and moving materials as needed and other additional tasks and duties as assigned.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Emulates Forbes Bros core value of 'WE WORK SAFE' in all daily tasks
- Digging and back-filling trenches
- Pulling and placing underground and overhead cables
- Carrying and moving materials as needed
- Operating small equipment and hand tools
- Spotting for vehicles and equipment
- Site setup and cleanup, ensuring trash, debris and other potentially dangerous materials from the construction site are removed
- Assisting craft/crew members with work as directed
- Following instruction and adhering to safe work practices
- Development of skills on varied and challenging tasks
- Performing additional tasks and duties as assigned
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Valid Class 5 Driver's license, is required
- General knowledge of the principals involved in the operation of construction, maintenance methods and procedures, is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a team to efficiently and effectively complete jobs within deadlines
- Able and willing to present a valid Driver's License and an acceptable five (5) year drivers abstract
- Ability to work in field/site with travel and work hour flexibility to accommodate to remote/site work schedule and weekend hours as required
- Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions and environments, inclusive of heavy lifting
- Strong verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate in a professional manner
- Ability to work with independently or within a team environment with minimal supervision
