POSITION OVERVIEW
The VP, Surety reporting to the President, will be responsible for leading the growth and overall strategy of the surety practice. The role includes servicing day to day client needs, developing deep market relationships, and selectively targeting new business.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Planning and execution of overall surety business strategy in collaboration with Executive Management Team.
•Provide elite level customer service to a select portfolio of important account relationships.
•Act as a subject matter expert for the Surety Bonding practice.
•Develop and provide innovative solutions to customer requirements.
•Collaborate with other team members, in both the surety and insurance departments, in a professional and solution oriented fashion.
•Professionally represent the company at industry events, associations.
•Manage the corporate relationships with our bonding company partners.
•Client/prospect facing meeting support and presentations.
•Develop and pursue a business development strategy within the support framework provided by the company.
•Collaborate with and advise other broker partners within the Navacord organization.
•Liaise with senior leadership within and across Navacord.
REQUIREMENTS:
•Minimum of 10 years surety underwriting or surety brokering experience.
•Leadership/management experience preferred, but more important is a desire to lead.
•CPA, RIBO, ACSB, CAID and CIP designations viewed favourably.
•An exceptional communicator, both written and oral.
•Detail oriented with strong analytical skills(specifically financial analysis).
•Ability to influence others in a co-operative manner.
•Works well both in a group environment and autonomously.
•Strong interpersonal and presentation kills with excellent attention to detail.
