This full-time role offers the opportunity to work in both retail and compounding pharmacy, with additional leadership responsibilities for those interested in a Compounding Supervisor role.
What You'll Do & Your Impact- Prescription Processing & Dispensing: Receive and enter prescriptions, prepare medications, and conduct final technical checks in compliance with Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) standards. Assist with medication adherence programs, specialty packaging, and pharmacy inventory.
- Compounding & Inventory Management: Participate in the day-to-day operations of the compounding lab including non-sterile compound preparations, inventory and quality control, ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
- Compounding Supervisor Opportunity: Manage the compounding operations, train staff, implement quality assurance programs, and maintain compounding standards of practice.
- Customer Service & Patient Support: Assist patients with medication-related inquiries, insurance claims, and medical devices (e.g., inhalers, glucose monitors). Provide exceptional customer service; ensure that we treat our customers with empathy, understanding and compassion.
- Regulatory Compliance & Leadership: Maintain records, participate in ACP audits, and adhere to all national and provincial regulations.
What You Bring- Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy.
- Advanced knowledge and experience with non-sterile compounding (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of KROLL pharmacy software & Microsoft Office.
- Practice professionally with integrity, honesty, and respect.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and committed to patient safety & pharmacy excellence.
- Ability to adapt and problem solve in a fast-paced work environment.
- Eagerness for continuous improvement: self-driven to identify areas for personal and professional growth.
