MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a
Business Analyst for a 12 month contract role with a client of ours located in Calgary
Responsibilities
- Analyze business processes and workflows to identify improvement opportunities by gathering and interpreting data, conducting stakeholder interviews, and reviewing existing documentation.
- Support successful project delivery within Grid Reliability Services by eliciting and managing business requirements, mapping dependencies, and ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement through workshops, meetings, and collaborative sessions to drive shared understanding and decision-making across diverse professional groups.
- Apply a solid understanding of the client’s business, systems, and technical landscape to deliver consistent, high-quality outputs using established tools, templates, and frameworks.
- Produce key BA artifacts aligned with best practices, such as stakeholder analyses, current- and future-state process models, business requirements documents (BRDs), use cases, decision logs, and traceability matrices.
- Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, effectiveness, and alignment with business goals.
- Synthesize complex information into clear, actionable recommendations, and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels through presentations, briefing notes, and reports.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field: The successful candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to gather and analyze data, identify trends and patterns, and develop insights that inform business decisions.
- Previous experience in the utilities field
- Manage multiple and changing priorities while meeting overall requirements and deadlines
