Position Summary
Canada Cartage Logistics Solutions is seeking a results-driven Operations Supervisor to lead overnight warehouse operations. Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for safety, efficiency, quality, and employee performance while delivering exceptional customer service.
Location: Calgary, Alberta
Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, Night shift: 8:00 PM to 4:30 AM
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise inbound and outbound parcel sortation to meet customer SLAs
- Manage warehouse flow, space utilization, shipping, and receiving
- Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate warehouse team members, including payroll accuracy
- Plan labor and manpower requirements, including overtime and time-off approvals
- Maintain inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and health & safety regulations
- Oversee safety, security, housekeeping, and accident investigations
- Communicate daily with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal teams
- Prepare and maintain operational reports and productivity metrics
- Support culture-building initiatives and promote company values
Qualifications & Core Competencies
- 1 to 2 years of warehouse operation supervisory experience
- Proven front-line leadership experience in warehousing/distribution
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and make quick, effective decisions.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of material handling equipment and health & safety legislation
- Good working proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
