Your Role in Supporting Our Community:
As a Database Administrator with Vancity Community Foundation, you will administer and maintain our databases and related systems to ensure the accuracy, security, and accessibility of data across all programs and initiatives. You will manage and analyze data to support VCF and key stakeholders in making data‑informed decisions, lead qualitative and quantitative data collection and surveys, and help bring impact stories to life through meaningful reporting. You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy working with data in service of community and equity‑centred funding, adjudication, and fund dispersal processes, and if you’re a collaborative partner who can translate program needs into reliable, user‑friendly data systems.
This is a Permanent, Full-time position that reports to the Director, Strategic Initiatives and is based out of 312 Main in Vancouver. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands. For this role, we will only be considering applications from candidates based in Vancouver/Lower Mainland.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Managing and analyzing data to support Vancity Community Foundation (VCF) and key stakeholders in making data‑informed decisions
- Overseeing data requests and coordinating qualitative and quantitative data collection across programs and initiatives
- Leading surveying, data analysis, and the sharing of impact stories that demonstrate the outcomes of community investments
- Administering and maintaining VCF’s databases and related systems to ensure accurate input, timely updates, and reliable reporting
- Developing and refining accessible systems, tools, and processes related to data management, including application and review platforms, communication materials, and evaluation frameworks
- Serving as a key point of contact for data‑related requests from internal and external partners, providing clear guidance and responsive support
- Monitoring assigned projects, reviewing required reports, and identifying challenges and opportunities for improvement to mitigate risk and ensure deliverables and outcomes are achieved
- Collaborating with colleagues across the VCF and Vancity to continuously improve data practices, support innovation, and strengthen community‑impact reporting
- Providing coaching and technical support to the Foundation’s internal teams for performance measurement, impact reporting, data analytics and visualization, research, and evaluation and extending this to external stakeholders - community partners, Donors, investees, grantees, and tenants at 312 Main
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Demonstrated experience managing and analyzing organizational data to support stakeholders in making data‑informed decisions
- Familiarity with granting software is an asset (GLM, C-Suite)
- Experience in overseeing data requests and coordinating qualitative and quantitative data collection, including survey design and implementation
- Proven ability to administer and maintain databases and related systems, ensuring accurate data entry, updates, and reporting across multiple programs
- Experience developing and refining systems, tools, and processes that support effective data management, including application or review platforms and evaluation frameworks
- Strong skills in translating program and stakeholder needs into clear data requirements, dashboards, or reports that support decision‑making and compliance reporting
- Ability to monitor projects, review reports, identify risks or opportunities, and recommend improvements to ensure deliverables and outcomes are achieved
- Comfort working collaboratively across teams and roles, acting as a key point of contact for data‑related questions and support

What You’ll Earn:
The budgeted salary role is $85,000 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
