Salary: $55,000 $65,000 + comprehensive benefits
Our client, a leading national law firm with a strong presence in Vancouver, is seeking a Legal Recruitment Assistant Business Services & Student Programs to join their Talent & People team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organized, detail-oriented professional interested in recruitment, legal operations, and early-career talent programs within a professional services environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Services & Talent Support
- Provide administrative support to the regional Talent team, including calendar management, document preparation, and expense submissions
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, internal events, and student practicums
- Support recruitment processes including candidate correspondence, reference checks, and background checks
- Maintain employee records and update HR systems as required
- Assist with payroll administration and HR documentation (e.g., leave materials, performance processes)
- Respond to internal and external inquiries in a professional and timely manner
Professional Recruitment & Student Programs
- Support summer and articling student recruitment, including application administration, interview coordination, and offer letter preparation
- Assist with recruitment platforms and applicant tracking, including GPA calculations and application tracking
- Coordinate interview logistics, firm events, and recruitment-related meetings
- Support student onboarding, orientation schedules, training sessions, and wellness initiatives
- Assist with Law Society-related submissions and student program administration
- Provide support for lateral lawyer recruitment, including interview scheduling and offer documentation
Qualifications- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative, HR, or recruitment support role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with HRIS or recruitment systems is considered an asset
