About the Role
As the Living Classroom Program Admissions Coordinator, you will lead student recruitment for the PSW Living Classroom, hybrid, and online programs while also overseeing the day to day coordination of the Living Classroom experience at both Extendicare locations.
You will collaborate closely with faculty, Extendicare leadership, and Career College Group teams to ensure the program is delivered effectively, meets regulatory and Living Classroom standards, and reflects the evolving needs of long term care environments.
What You'll Do
Admissions & RecruitmentRecruit students into the PSW Living Classroom, hybrid, and online programs.
- Build strong relationships with community partners, employment agencies, and local organizations to support enrollment growth.
- Respond promptly to inquiries, schedule appointments, and conduct admissions interviews.
- Guide prospective students through the admissions process with professionalism, clarity, and empathy.
- Track leads, maintain accurate records, and follow up consistently using the CRM system.
- Achieve enrollment targets and contribute to overall team success.
- Represent Career College Group (Medix College) and the Living Classroom initiative at community events, trade shows, and outreach activities.
Program Coordination
Serve as the primary point of contact for the Living Classroom program at both Extendicare sites.Support the delivery, development, and continuous improvement of the PSW program in alignment with Career College Group standards, regulatory requirements, and Extendicare’s operational needs.Coordinate and support faculty, including scheduling, communication, and day‑to‑day problem‑solving.Mentor new faculty and provide training on curriculum, program expectations, and Living Classroom processes.Request or implement course delivery modifications for in‑person, hybrid, or online formats following Career College Group best practices.Support students throughout their program journey, fostering a positive, inclusive, and success‑oriented learning environment.
What You'll Need- Minimum 2 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or sales. Minimum
2 years of experience in the health care industry, PSW or Nursing an asset but not required.Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Highly Organized, self-motivated, and goal-oriented. Familiarity with Northern Ontario communities and ability to travel between Kirkland Lake and Timmins. High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education is an asset).
