Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Senior Product Manager in the Digital Banking team, you will lead the strategy and delivery of a portfolio of high-impact, member-facing digital products that advance Vancity’s retail digital platform. You’ll own complex problem spaces end-to-end—translating member needs, business priorities, and regulatory considerations into clear product strategy, roadmaps, and outcomes.
This is a full-time, permanent role at our head office based in Vancouver. For someone with the right skillset and experience, we are also open to candidates based in Ontario. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands when needed.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Setting product vision and strategy for a portfolio of digital banking capabilities aligned to member needs and business outcomes
- Owning and evolving multi-quarter roadmaps, balancing delivery, technical health, risk, and long-term scalability
- Defining, prioritizing, and refining epics and user stories to maintain a clear, outcome-driven product backlog
- Partnering with UX, engineering, data, and business stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality, member-centric experiences
- Leading discovery and problem framing using member insights, analytics, and qualitative research
- Monitoring product performance through KPIs, member feedback, and operational metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Actively participating in Agile ceremonies and supporting teams through iterative delivery and dependency management
- Communicating strategy, roadmap progress, trade-offs, and outcomes to senior leadership and cross-functional partners
- Ensuring security, privacy, and regulatory requirements are embedded into product design in collaboration with risk and technology teams
- Championing accessibility, usability, and inclusive design across all digital servicing initiatives
- Driving post-MVP optimization and delivery of advanced servicing features such as authentication, payments, and card management
- Partnering with marketing, operations, and servicing teams to plan and execute go-to-market and change-management activities
- Staying informed on emerging technologies, digital banking trends, and member expectations to inform future product direction
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally within digital banking, financial services, or regulated environments
- Proven experience owning products through the full lifecycle—from discovery and strategy through delivery and optimization
- Strong understanding of financial services concepts, regulatory requirements, and risk considerations
- Experience working in Agile environments and partnering closely with engineering and design teams
- Ability to manage complexity, dependencies, and competing priorities across multiple initiatives
- Experience using tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar (nice to have)
- Certifications such as Scrum Product Owner, SAFe, or equivalent (nice to have)
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence without formal authority
You’ll Thrive Here If You Are:
- Strategic Thinker: Able to see the big picture and develop long-term plans that align with organizational goals.
- Collaborative Leader: Skilled in working with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships.
- Data-Driven: Comfortable using data and analytics to inform decision-making and drive product improvements.
- Customer-Focused: Dedicated to understanding and meeting the needs of our customers.
- Innovative: Always looking for new ways to enhance our payment solutions and stay ahead of the competition.
What You’ll Earn:
The salary band of this role is $102,900 - $ 130,000. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements
