LeverageTek is actively seeking a Junior Business Analyst for a 12-month term opportunity with its Ottawa-based customer.
Work Location
- The successful candidate will be required to work 2x/week on-site at the customer headquarters in Ottawa or Toronto, ON.
Key Tasks
- Support the documentation of business requirements, process flows, and operational procedures
- Assist in developing current-state and future-state workflows, including “day-in-the-life” process documentation
- Participate in stakeholder meetings, workshops, and working sessions, capturing notes, decisions, and action items
- Contribute to impact assessments, presentations, and supporting materials for internal and external stakeholders
- Provide ongoing analytical and documentation support for BAU activities and project deliverables
Key Qualifications
- 2–4 years of experience in a Business Analyst, Business Operations, or similar analytical role
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, well-structured documentation
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt in complex or evolving environments
Qualifications
- Foundational experience with business analysis practices, including requirements documentation and process mapping
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources
- Comfortable working with cross-functional teams and engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency with MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Assets
- Experience in a financial services, banking, or regulated industry environment
- Exposure to large-scale transformation or policy-driven initiatives
- Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery environments; Jira experience is an asset
- Experience supporting senior analysts or project managers on complex initiatives
Compensation
- Salary Range $85,000 - $100,000
