Your Role in Supporting Our Members:
As a Senior Regional Director, you will lead the strategic growth and oversight of a retail branch region within Vancity’s Inclusive Banking network, translating divisional strategy into clear regional priorities that drive strong financial results and exceptional member experiences. You’ll directly lead a team of Branch Managers, strengthening leadership capability, operational effectiveness, and community presence across the region, while championing disciplined sales and advice practices, effective risk management, and an inclusive, member-centric culture. We’re looking for an experienced retail banking leader who excels at coaching other leaders, uses data and insights to guide decisions, and is passionate about advancing inclusive, community-focused banking.
We are hiring for two (2) Full-time, Permanent positions which will be based across our branches within a region, and will report directly to the VP, Inclusive Banking (Branch Channel). Candidates must be located in the Vancouver / Lower Mainland region or be willing to relocate.
How You'll Make an Impact:
- Leading the development and delivery of regional growth strategies that translate divisional priorities into clear plans focused on service excellence, new-market growth, and strong financial performance
- Driving regional performance and the modernization of branch service models through a member-centric approach and close collaboration with Inclusive Banking, Wealth Management, Business Banking, Marketing, IT, Risk, and other enterprise teams
- Ensuring effective service strategies, resource allocation, and decision-making by leveraging branch insights and internal and external data, while advocating for both member and employee voices in projects and process improvements
- Coaching and developing Branch Managers as strategic, enterprise-minded, future-oriented leaders, strengthening their ability to foster professional growth, succession, high performance, and an inclusive culture within their teams
- Leading disciplined sales management and advice practices across branches, enhancing discovery conversations, opportunity identification, and effective referrals between Retail, Business Banking, and Wealth
- Representing Vancity within the region by working with Branch Managers to build strong relationships with local businesses and community partners, strengthening market presence and deepening member trust
- Overseeing effective risk management, compliance, and regulatory oversight across branches, balancing access and innovation with Vancity’s risk tolerance
Where You’ll Lead and Influence:
- Providing strategic oversight to a regional network of 12-15 branches, ensuring alignment with divisional priorities and member‑centric service excellence
- Leading and developing a team of 25+ Branch Management staff, with overall leadership accountability for approximately 150–220 employees across the region
- Overseeing a significant regional portfolio, including approximately $4.2B in lending and $3.5B in deposits, ensuring strong financial performance and responsible growth
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- 7-10 years of progressive experience in retail banking or financial services, including leadership responsibility for branch teams or multiple locations
- Proven ability to drive branch or regional performance, balancing service excellence, growth, and operational effectiveness in a regulated environment
- Strong understanding of branch operations, including sales management, advice delivery, and day-to-day service execution within a retail banking network
- Demonstrated people leadership capability, with experience coaching Branch Managers, building engagement, and developing future leaders in a multi-branch or regional context
- Experience implementing divisional strategies at a regional or branch level, using data and performance insights to guide priorities and resource allocation
- Working knowledge of risk, compliance, and conduct requirements within a branch banking environment
- Post-secondary education in business, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

What You’ll Earn:
This role offers a salary range of $165,500 to $194,700 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
