Shifts: Full-Time, Part-Time, Casual (Days, Nights, Continental, Rotating Shifts)
Pay Rate: $18.35 – $21.00/hour

OverviewJoin Paladin Security as a Healthcare Security Guard and support safe, dynamic hospital environments across our partner sites. From the fast-paced Quinte Health network to Campbellford’s community-focused care and Northumberland Hills’ broad clinical services, you’ll play a vital role in protecting patients, staff, and visitors while contributing to community well-being.
Responsibilities- Maintain a professional, visible security presence
- Greet, assist, and direct patients, visitors, and staff
- Protect clients, staff, buildings, and assets
- Conduct interior and exterior patrols
- Respond to emergencies and support hospital code responses
- Document and report incidents; conduct investigations as required
- Perform patient watches and enforce hospital policies and by-laws
- Manage access control, keys, and parking enforcement
- Work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
- Assist with monthly safety inspections and other assigned duties
Requirements
Must Have- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C (WSIB-approved provider)
- Ability to be clean-shaven for N95 mask fit testing
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (minimum two doses)
- Immunization records for MMR, Varicella, Pertussis, and TB (Step 1 & 2)
- Valid Ontario G Driver's License and reliable personal vehicle
- Ability to clear a Vulnerable Sector Check (completed during onboarding)
- Minimum 6 months of security experience (healthcare preferred but not required)
- Full-time availability with a minimum 6-month commitment
- Fluent English communication skills (oral and written)
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Nice to Have- French language skills considered an asset
- Minimum 6 months of customer service experience preferred
- Certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Applicants without UoF/MOAB may opt into Paladin’s training program prior to onboarding
- Training costs are covered by Paladin with a 6-month commitment
- Please note: UoF/MOAB training is unpaid as it is a pre-requisite
